3BT Monday

1. A friend from my time in California is passing through St. Louis, and she stays for a few days. We play tourist, enjoy the amazing almost-end-of-summer weather, and laugh like crazy.

2. We swap stories about "The Ranch" where we worked. And she says something that reminds me again how important it is to LOOK for those times and places where the veil is pulled back, even if only for a moment. She says, "I'm always surprised at how few people have experienced glimpses of Heaven like we did at the Ranch."

3. Suddenly a flood of memories and truth comes pouring into my heart, soul, and mind. The peace that was there even in difficult times. The reeds by the pond singing out their praises when the wind swept through. The people, oh, the people. And the lives that were altered in permanent ways, mine included. Changed because the aroma of what is yet to come weaves in and around that place, bringing with it a reminder of how things could be, of how things were meant to be. A reminder of Hope and Promise.
